Aiming to match the Pattaya phenomenon in attendance, Victoria is getting ready to host the industry professionals from ICCA in November.

In an effort to help companies and organizations from all industries that exhibit at any given time, SCS Limited has launched a series of courses - Exhibiting Masterclasses, with initial focus on the meetings industry tradeshows, tourism industry tradeshows and a Masterclass covering Exhibiting at any tradeshow in general.

Las vegas played host to the largest gathering of Meeting Professionals ever in August, when MPI held its World Education Congress at the Mandalay Bay.

At a much anticipated get-together, the ICCA Mediterranean Chapter hosted it first Summit in Istanbul between the 27th and 29th of June 2008.

A fine example of event excellence and sign of the rapid development the meetings industry is undergoing was the ICCA Research, Sales and Marketing Programme that took place in Pafos, Cyprus end of June 2008.

Matching the level of attendance of the 2006 Congress in Rhodes, Greece, the 46th ICCA Congress in Pattaya is the largest ever outside Europe. Bringing together the elite of the meetings industry for five days, ICCA has managed to set the standard for a must-attend event of the industry, packed with top education sessions, new trends, extensive networking and fun in an interesting and exotic destination.

The Meeting Professionals International World Education Congress 2007 was a testament of the continuous development of the meetings industry community - full of innovative ideas, insight into the meetings industry and people active in the meetings industry from 34 countries. SCS was there and in fact its Managing Director, Miranda Ioannou, presented two sessions on an Update in the Meetings Industry in Southern Europe and the Middle East.

One of the largest global trade exhibitions specifically dedicated to the meetings industry just wrapped up with overwhelming success for one more year – IMEX 2007 hosted in Frankfurt, Germany from the 17th to the 19th of April. It was a record-breaking show attracting over 8,300 buyers including more than 3,500 hosted buyers – who met with over 3,300 exhibitors from 150 countries.
